Det er for de fleste forretninger et “must” at der er stregkode på cd-en. Forretningen har ganske simpelt ikke tid til at registrere cd’er ved håndkraft. Derudover har medlemmer været udsat for, at når de henvendte sig til pladeselskaber/producenter for at “købe” en stregkode, så har det kostet helt op til 1.500 kr. For medlemmer af DMF er en stregkode helt gratis.
