Vibstock Festival er en musikfestival dedikeret til talentfulde ’upandcoming’ bands. DMF Viborg vil også være til stede på festivalpladsen – både backstage og blandt publikum…

Festivalen ønsker at stille en professionel festival-platform til rådighed for upandcoming bands og således give nye bands mulighed for at udfolde sig under samme professionelle rammer, som de vil kunne møde på andre af sommerens festivaler i Danmark.

Samtidig introduceres festivalens gæster for nye og spændende bands, og måske morgendagens nye stjerner på den danske musikscene. Der er gratis entré for alle til festivalen, og man må endda gerne selv medbringe drikkevarer og mad.

Festivalen har 2 scener og ligger smukt placeret ned til Søndersø i Viborg.

Alle bands, der ønsker at spille på festivalen indsender materiale til festivalen. Festivalens ’lytteudvalg’ udvælger efter gennemlytning de bands, der spiller på 3 udendørs ’tryouts’ i juni måned. Derfra udvælges de 8 bedste bands af et nedsat dommerpanel

Dommerpanelet til de 3 tryouts består bl.a. af folk fra Gaffa, DMF Viborg, Booking & Management bureau’er, musikjournalister etc.

I år vil der være plads til i alt 13 bands inklusiv 2 hovednavne. Hovednavnene i år bliver Mont Oliver og Dance With Dirt.
